“ Absolutely awesome! This place is your one stop shop to float the river. They offer tube rentals, shuttle, parking, restrooms, drinks, food, and more! Once you arrive, park your vehicle and take only the things you'll need on the river. They have clean restrooms with a changing area. Check in/purchase your tube rental at the top main entrance, they will ask if you want a tube with or without a bottom. Get a tube WITH a bottom, your bottom with be thankful later. They will also ask how long you want to float because they have different drop off locations and then you float back to your car. They offer a variety of trip lengths (1-2hrs, 2-3hrs, or 4-5hrs) all depends on the flow of the river. They will give you a ticket, walk down, hand it to the guys and they will get your tubes and load them onto the shuttle. The bus is literally an old school bus, bring a pen or sharpie if you want to sign your name on the walls/ceiling. The driver was friendly and informative stating the river was flowing good that day and to stay to left or you'd encounter a drop off. They even have rope if you need some to tie anything down! If you're doing a long trip, get a tube for your cooler and water proof bags for phone/wallet/keys. There is a chute which is fun! And other spot where the speed picks up but it's nothing too crazy or that kids couldn't handle. The water depth was never more than 4ft if that. We saw tons of turtles on branches/rocks. Fun to make a game out of it. You'll pass homes, rentals, restaurants, and other float locations of you need anything or should something happen. Once you've made your way back to the float house, you're sure to be starving and they have great tasting food for great prices. They have a variety of burgers, chicken strips, sides, fountain drinks, alcoholic drinks, and great seating with a view of the river. They even have live music on certain days. You can not go wrong with this place! ”

“ The employees were all INCREDIBLE. They went above and beyond way outside the scope of their job descriptions. We stayed at an air b&b near there and pulled in when I realized we had a flat tire. I was there for maybe 30 seconds before an employee recognized that something was wrong and came out to check and provide assistance. By the end of it I could have cried tears of relief because of their kindness. They truly made such a difference in my life and it makes me want to be a better person for strangers around me as well. I’m so touched and so grateful for the kindness they showed and the helping hands they extended. I will absolutely be back and will recommend them to EVERYONE who wants to go float the river! ”

“ We launched our float trip from this location, but didn't have anything to eat at the restaurant. The area wasn't that crowded for a prime time in the summer floating season. There were a fair amount of people there, but it wasn't like a New York subway, like some of the other places we've used. The atmosphere is also very nice, since it's buried under a ton of trees, which are as aesthetically appealing as they are natural canopies in the brutal Texas heat. They also had a DJ playing music, and good music at that... there's other places that play garbage from the early 90's, like New Kids and Paula Abdul... The tubes we rented were for our coolers, but they were very high quality tubes if we were to float in them ourselves. The staff blowing them up also got everyone knocked out extremely quickly, we barely waited at all from the time we rented them to the time they other two guys had them completely filled with air. They also filled our personal tubes for those that bring their own. ”

“ This is our 2nd time here and we love it! Came on July 5 and got a nice spot. the water flow was pretty good I was surprised since we haven’t had much rain lately. we did not go tubing but just hung out in the river for the day, you can choose. They will shuttle you to river entry spot and you end up back here. Love that you have access to good food, facilities, and there was a DJ playing music. It was so relaxing and everyone was having a great time! Friendly staff too, We’ll be back. ”

“ Unpretentious place overlooking the river with good music on the Sunday we were there. Dog friendly. Dogs enjoyed romping in the river. Good dive bar food though would have welcomed a better beer selection. Would definitely go back! ”

“ What an awesome weekend!! Lone Star Float House was the perfect place to set up and enjoy the river. From all the helpful & quick staff, the picnic tables in the river to the shuttle & drop off, the whole experience was just amazing!! The food is great & for being right there on the river the price was better than I thought it would be. Best burger I've had in a long time. My son had a BLT & Frito pie that he said was great!! I recommend everyone hit this place up for your river floating trips ”
